My name is Medrine Pauline Nafula from Kiandutu slum in Thika. Am the first born and my only brother is in class 7. My brother and I stay with our grandmother whom we have known as the only parent since our mother died when we were very young. Sport is my other family.
It gives me joy, happiness and hope. Since I joined Angaza in 2016 , I have been able to erase memories of being orphaned and replace with delight of being a young mentor. Football has enabled partial sponsorship at Achievers high school. It feels so nice whenever I am facilitating life skills to other orphans or young kids in Kiandutu slum. Now that I will be attending Festival 19 in Lyon, I am expecting to gain knowledge and skills of leadership.
